My role as your Celebrant?

 

Once you have organized the date of your wedding contact me to secure the date and we can meet at your home or another suitable location. While getting to know each other we spend time discussing your ideas to establish the type of ceremony you would like.

 

At our first meeting a “Notice of Intended Marriage” needs to be filled in and legally I need to see proof of identification, usually a current passport or original birth certificate from each party.  I will give you a questionnaire to answer so I can learn more about you, how you met, what your dreams and aspirations are for your life together.

 

I believe that getting to know each other is an important part of the process of creating a personal ceremony.  As we come to understand the importance of your values we are then guided to the kind of ceremony we believe will fulfil your expectations for one of the most important days of your life.  We are celebrating the coming together of two people who have chosen to spend the rest of their lives together. With my help your ceremony can take whatever shape you would like it to. 

 

Together we can design a fun or formal ceremony.  Perhaps you would like a small gathering in your home or to be married in nearby gardens.  There are number of rituals we could build into your ceremony such as butterfly release or candle lighting.

 

When I have received this important, personal information I will draft a ceremony for your special day.  From there we stay in touch via email, phone and in person to work toward finalizing your ceremony.  I provide unlimited consultation and can answer any questions you have in relation to your special day.

 

Closer to your wedding day, with the friends and family involved, we meet for a rehearsal and like a stage production we rehearse our plan and fine tune your ceremony from start to finish.  The next time we meet will be the big day and we’ll be well prepared to make your day the most memorable, perfect day of your life.
